“Why should Beyoncé be the next headline of the Montreux Jazz Festival?”. Even though this question may seem cheeky, it presents the purpose of our visualization: reconstructing the evolution of the music performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival.
When hovering over the nodes, you can see the years and determine the predominant genre of that edition using the legend on the upper right corner. When clicking, you will find the distribution of genres (the exact percentage appears when hovering over any element). Finally, clicking again will allow you to see all the artists who performed a concert of the desired genre in the selected year’s edition. You can use the navigation bar on the upper left corner to navigate through the levels.
